Chamundi Eswari Selvaraj has her PhD in psychiatric social work. Her dedication to public service is evident in her many leadership positions in community organizations, arts and cultural councils and religious spiritual groups. She is president of the “Pushpanjali” India School of Dance, secretary of the Hindu Society of Saskatchewan and vice-president of the Sri Sathya Sai Baba Centre of Saskatoon and is a past-ambassador of the India pavilion at Folkfest. She has spearheaded several initiatives including the Walk for Human Values which resulted in the City of Saskatoon declaring Human Values Day in June 2006. Chamundi is humility personified, inspiring others by her example, and giving so completely to the community in which she lives.
