New Age – The Dawn Of The Golden Era

Sathya Sai Baba And The Golden Age

Sathya Sai Baba And The Golden Age

New Age – The Dawn Of The Golden Era

A few weeks ago in this space we had an article, “The Cup of life” from a current student of Sathya Sai Baba’s Institute. Many readers wrote to us expressing their desire to have more articles from the students. So here we are with another student’s article. This is actually the transcription of a small talk given by Sri Chandrasekhar of I MBA during the Morning Prayer sessions in the Institute.

There’s no end to the incarnations that God indulges in. He comes down for various purposes. Sometimes He comes with a part of His glory, sometimes with a fuller equipment of His splendor, sometimes for fulfilling a particular task, while at times, He comes to transform an entire era of time, an entire gamut of space.

‘For the protection of the good, for the destruction of evil forces and for the firm establishment of Dharma, I am born from age to age.’

This Divine assurance made by the Lord as Krishna is being fulfilled and we are all blessed to be contemporaries of Bhagawan, witnessing Him as He mends the very fabric of humanity and ushers in the ‘Golden Era’.

I would like to draw your attention to three of Satya Sai Baba’s profound declarations. Bhagawan Sri Sathya SaiBaba said, “My mission is to raise the consciousness of man to a level, at which, he neither rejoices nor mourns over anything.”

Secondly, in a revelation given to Charles Penn, Satya SaiBaba exhorts to us, “Your mission has begun. These are My words to you, My devotees. Each one of you has a unique and valuable part to play in this lifetime… You are My instruments from whom My love will pour forth. Only those whom I’ve called can serve Me. I have prepared you for this work through many incarnations…”

Finally, Bhagawan Baba in His own commanding yet simple way, said, “My mission is already accomplished. I’m only letting it unfold before your eyes.”

Now bearing these imposing declarations of Sai Baba in mind, let us look at the world around us. We still find negativity manifesting as hatred, violence, disharmony and the like, in swollen proportions. So much so that even Mother Earth is retorting to man’s actions in the form of earth quakes, volcanoes and detrimental geographical changes. Nevertheless, Bhagawan’s resolve to bring in the ‘Suvarna Yuga’, the Golden age, is His ‘Vajra Sankalpa’ (Diamond-like resolve) and at His command, the stars have to fall in place. Why this incongruity then? Or, is there an incongruity at all? Is there something happening behind the scenes which we do not readily see?

Swami says, “Mano moolam Idam Jagat”. The world, as we see it, is but a reflection of the mind. If we find so much negativity around us, it just goes to suggest the state of man’s mind. With the mind and Ego being the focus of our lives, we hurt and inflict pain on each other. Life’s reins are to a large extent held by the ego and every ego says, ‘I’m right’. This manifests even as a nation, as the collective human ego. Every country is selfish and claims to be right in doing so.

This unchecked striving for more and more, for endless growth, is a dysfunction and a disease. This dysfunction is actually accelerating and intensifying. It’s the same dysfunction which the cancer cells exhibit, whose only intention is to grow, unaware of the destruction that it is bringing about to itself. The same is the fate of the ego. In its endeavor to intensify it is unconsciously burning itself. Like the forest fire which destroys the forest itself, the fury fire of ego in the form of negativity, is destroying the ego itself. Now, as the egos are drowned, the individual consciousness evolves. In science, we know of parameters like ‘Critical Mass’, and ‘Critical Pressure’, which indicate the point at which the balance shifts from one side to the other. In the same way, as the consciousness evolves at the individual level, it is raising the collective human consciousness. Once the critical point is reached, there will be a quantum jump in the collective consciousness. This is what we tend to miss, because Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba is presently raising the individual consciousness of man. Nevertheless, it is quickly heading towards the critical point and thus towards an imperative collective evolution of humanity.

‘It is darkest before dawn,
A new age shall be born’

All the sufferings that humanity undergoes at large, the geographic and planetary changes, are the labor pains which Mother Earth is experiencing in the birth of a new consciousness.

Sathya Sai Baba indicated this in one of His Dassera discourses in 2005. He said, “Within a few years, rivalry, hatred, and misunderstanding between people will become a thing of the past in Bharat and in the world at large.” Describing the grandeur of the Golden Age, He said, “The time is soon approaching when all humanity will live in harmony. It is beyond all comprehension. Its beauty is beyond all dreams.” Then He went on to say, “Before it arrives be prepared to reveal to every living thing, the true purpose of existence.”

Now what is it that Bhagawan wants us to be prepared for? Do we know the true purpose? What are our roles? The answers to these questions are very subjective, for Bhagawan Himself asserts that the role which each one of us will play is going to be unique and valuable.

However, broadly speaking, to be a part of the solution, we must be aware of problem and be sensitive towards its implications. The problem here is the mind, a wonderful tool, but a deadly master. It is the nature of the mind to dwell on the disappointments of the past and the anxieties of the future, completely neglecting the present moment. While the truth remains that life is always in the present. So by saying ‘Yes’ to the mind and its chatter about the past and the future, we are saying ‘No’ to the present, that is to say, ‘No’ to life itself. What could be more insane than this!

All the problems we see in the external world are a projection of the turmoil of the mind. No solution which arises from the mind will solve this problem, for the mind itself is intrinsically a part of it. The problem is not so much the inability to think, but it is the inability to stop thinking. Bhagawan in His adeptness puts it in two words, ‘Die-mind’.

It is from this mind identified state that Bhagawan ventures to raise us to His level of consciousness. He explains, “Man has to be unmade and remade with his ego destroyed and replaced with a transcendental consciousness.” How do we play our roles in this event which takes place once in an entire Yuga?

We have guideposts which will safely take us to the destination. The first of those is the simplest and yet the most potent. It is prayer addressed to our Beloved Lord. Swami Sai Baba Himself describes the story of the elephant Gajendra. He says:

“In the thick forest of life, a wild elephant, the mind of man, will be roaming. This mind which is roaming becomes thirsty for sensuous pleasures. To quench the thirst, it begins to drink from the lake of worldly activities. The moment it does, the crocodile of attachment catches hold of its leg. In its efforts to extricate itself, the elephant (mind) finds that the grip of the crocodile (attachment) on its leg strengthens. Unable to free itself, in exasperation and exhaustion, the elephant beseeches to the Lord. In that moment, when the elephant’s vision turned towards the Lord, God’s vision also turned towards the elephant and saves it from Samsara (worldly life).

The second guidepost is ‘Namasmarana’. The human mind unconsciously seeks something lasting but unfortunately seeks it in things which are by themselves ephemeral. Only the Lord and His name last forever. Swami says, “For a bird in the mid-ocean flying over the dark blue waters, the only resting place is the mast of a sailing ship. It has the picture of the mast steady in its mind; its form fixed in its eye. Similarly, the Lord is the only refuge for the man who’s swept by storms over a restless sea. The name of the Lord is the mast for you; remember it ever.”

Thirdly and most importantly, we should never get attached to the work we are doing, to the roles which He’s instructed us to don. We should remember that even without any of us, the Lord will still achieve His mission. Recalling what Arjuna said on having the Vishwaroopa Darshan, “Oh Krishna, I can see the entire Kaurava army plunging into your fiery mouth and meeting their destruction.” Krishna replied, “I have willed both the battle and the result. What remains is the completion of formalities which shall be done with or without you.”…. “Therefore, surrendering all actions to Me, thy thoughts concentrated on Me, the absolute and supreme Self of all, free from selfishness and without any anticipation of reward, with mind perfectly calm, begin thou to fight.” These are the words that should ring in our ears as we carry out Bhagawan’s work.

As Chardin said,

“The day will come when,
After harnessing the space and the winds,
The tides and the gravitation,
We shall harness for God the energies of Love.
And on that day, for the second time
In the history of the world,
We shall have discovered fire.”

Let’s hope that day dawns soon!

With Love and Regards,

Kevin Shepherd And PhD Timothy Conway

Kevin Shepherd And PhD Timothy Conway

Although Kevin Shepherd is a staunch Anti-New Age advocate and Anti-Guru advocate, he devoted a lengthy section (on his page discussing the Sai Controversy) to Dr. Timothy Conway, citing him as a credible and intelligent reference against Sathya Sai Baba. See: kevinrdshepherd.net/html/23___sathya_sai_baba__problems.html.

Although strong counter-arguments have been made against Dr Timothy Conway, Kevin Shepherd blindly referenced him although Timothy Conway is a true believer and promoter of Gurus [3], Mystics [3], Enlightened Masters [3], psychics [1] [2] [4], levitation [5], bi-location [5], miracles [5], remote-viewing [4], elementals, meditation [2] [6], paranormal powers [5], aliens [4] [10], rebirth [1] [7], reincarnation [1] [7], karma [8], oracles [2], I-Ching [2], sensitives [1] [2], channelers [1] [2], astrology [2], astrologists [2], palm-reading [2], non-duality [9], etc. (the list goes on and on).

For example, if you are looking for an answer to a difficult problem, PhD Timothy Conway suggested (Reference):

  1. Asking God for a sign and wait for several days, weeks, months or even years for God’s guidance to manifest.
  2. Using an Oracle such as the I Ching.
  3. Flipping a coin and looking for a pattern to emerge.
  4. Writing ‘yes’, ‘no’, ‘wait’ on pieces of papers, scrambling them and then choosing one.
  5. Consulting a psychic.
  6. Consulting an astrologer.
  7. Consulting a palmist.
  8. Meditation.
  9. Looking for answers in dreams.
  10. Relying on ‘instant intuition’.
  11. Just accepting that whatever was meant to happen will happen.

Timothy Conway is also set to release two books praising over 40 Gurus, “Wonder-Workers”, Sages, Saints and Tantriks in 2009. What is so amusing about this is that Kevin Shepherd often attacks New Age believers and Guru promoters as being brainwashed and mentally sick. However, when it comes to Sathya Sai Baba, Kevin Shepherd discards his “scholarly”, “academic” and scientific posturing and cites New Age believers and Guru promoters as reliable and reputable references against him. Since Kevin Shepherd heavily cited Timothy Conway on his domains, he apparently researched Timothy Conway’s beliefs and approved of them.

Timothy Conway cannot take a consistent position for or against Sathya Sai Baba. For example, Timothy Conway had the following to say about Sathya Sai Baba and his alleged paranormal powers:

  • Timothy Conway: “ I remain convinced that there are paranormal miracles (wondrous anomalies), and ‘deep, mysterious energies,’ perhaps involving multi-dimensional physics and paranormal or supra-normal power, that are occurring around and through the personality of Sathya Sai Baba.”
  • Timothy Conway: “Sathya Sai could be an amazingly accomplished but fallen yogi (yogabhrashta)…”
  • Timothy Conway: “We should also be aware that these energies and powers could be coming from Sai Baba of Shirdi and/or the Divine Absolute…”
  • Timothy Conway: “Perhaps he is just a highly adept but fallen yogi or an inter-dimensionally powerful but contaminated ‘channel’ for the former Sai Baba of Shirdi (d.1918).”
  • Timothy Conway: “the powers of someone who has some ‘elemental spirits’ or other entities helping him from interdimensional planes? (–no joke: it’s a very old, worldwide knowledge that one can derive certain powers by contacting such entities).” Ref: Conway Email No. 8.
  • Timothy Conway: “Now, a purna avatar would, it seems, incarnate the totality of God, including the polarity play of light-dark, purity-mischief, unattachment-lust, and so on. This is a disturbing concept, but perhaps quite applicable to Baba’s controversial activity. Moreover, the sexual activity, which we now know to apparently involve considerable lust, might be Baba’s way of transmuting the very heavy sexual energy among humanity at this time on the planet.”
  • Timothy Conway: “I have sometimes thought that Sai is lustfully ‘taking on’ (on a psychic level) the lust of humanity to clear our sexual karma.”
  • Timothy Conway: “I grant that much or most of Baba’s spectacular mission has been about teaching and demonstrating Love.”
  • Timothy Conway: “I do believe that there has been an astonishing amount of genuine goodness, compassion and spiritual upliftment in and around Baba.”

Does Kevin Shepherd agree with these statements by Timothy Conway as well, or are his agreements selective and self-serving?

Timothy Conway also believed and endorsed (Ref) the alleged experiences of Shirlи Klein-Carsh, a so-called “Indigo” (an alleged extraterrestrial alien that voluntarily incarnates in human form on Earth). Shirlи Klein-Carsh claimed she was psychologically, spiritually and artistically guided by a cleverly disguised alien from Sirius (the star in the constellation of Canis Major) who worked as an electronics repairman in a second-hand shop. Timothy Conway said:

“This is a fascinating study of someone with sensitivities hardly dreamed of by most persons. Other books present the carefully presented and reasoned case for the existence of inter-dimensional aliens interacting with humans. This book goes straight into the mystery and wonder of the human-alien contact.” – Timothy Conway, PhD., author of ‘Women of Power and Grace’

Furthering his alien and UFO beliefs, Timothy Conway attempted to argue that if Sathya Sai Baba possesses paranormal powers, he could easily “warp spacetime” by creating an “insular interdimensional environment” where he could engage in abuse without easy detection. Attempting to bolster this asinine argument, Timothy Conway argued that people who are abducted by aliens and who experience the “missing time” phenomenon, have been lifted, transported and relocated to other areas without their spouses being aware of anything amiss. That’s right, Timothy Conway believes that it is possible that Satya Sai Baba molested alleged victims on another dimension, which is why it is so difficult for them to prove their allegations and why there is an abysmal lack of witnesses supporting their claims (Ref: Conway Email No. 10) These are the amusing beliefs held by a PhD who attempts to take a sober and rational position against Sathya Sai Baba.

Timothy Conway, Ex-Devotees and Kevin Shepherd are hypocrites who immediately jump to the worse case conspiratorial view and adamantly refuse to coherently and legitimately provide factual and verifiable information to support their smear campaigns against Sathya Sai Baba.

Kevin R.D. Shepherd not only endorsed and cited Guru Advocate & New Age Promoter Timothy Conway, he also endorsed and cited Psychic Trance Medium Conny Larsson, New Age Practitioner & Reincarnator Alan Kazlev and New Age Ramtha Adherent Ullrich Zimmermann. What does this say about Kevin Shepherd? Kevin Shepherd is obviously a very gullible and naive person who is willing to give credence to New Age beliefs by claiming that New Age followers are intelligent, honest, credible and reliable individuals who are worthy of being referenced by him (an alleged “scholarly” and “academic” author not given to superstition or superstitious beliefs).

Sathya Sai Baba, Barry Pittard, Robert Priddy And Conny Larsson

Sathya Sai Baba, Barry Pittard, Robert Priddy And Conny Larsson

In an amusing turn of events, Barry Pittard and Robert Priddy (two of the main spokespersons for the Anti-Sai Movement) are widely soliciting Conny Larsson (an ex-devotee of the Indian Guru Sathya Sai Baba) on their Anti-Sai WordPress Blogs.

On their Anti-Sai WordPress Blogs, Barry Pittard and Robert Priddy (who often side with Indian rationalists, skeptics and atheists like Premanand, Edamaruku, Narasimhaiah, etc.) made numerous condescending slurs and defamations against gurus, India, Indians and Hinduism. Despite Pittard and Priddy’s alleged rationalism and skepticism, they are now citing Conny Larsson as a highly credible and noteworthy voice against Sathya Sai Baba and Sai Devotees.

Barry Pittard and Robert Priddy consistently ignore and refuse to discuss Conny Larsson’s cult-like development into a New Age psychic trance medium and prophet.

As a matter of fact, Conny Larsson is alleged to be:

  1. An internationally renown psychic trance medium for the spirit of Vyasa (Refs: 0102).
  2. An internationally renown psychic who can contact dead people, see dead people and hear dead people’s voices in his head (Refs: 010203).
  3. An internationally renown psychic trance healer (Refs: 010203).
  4. And pet psychic who can contact the spirits of deceased pets (Ref).
  5. A yoga instructor (an internet claim).
  6. A person who conducts (and charges for) private trance healing sessions in which a Spirit Guide helps him to diagnose problems with his clients (Ref).
  7. A meditation master (Ref).
  8. A person who teaches others (and charges for) a nine-step meditation program in which students advance from lower steps to higher ones using the TM (Transcendental Meditation) technique that he learned from Maharishi Mahesh Yogi (Ref).
  9. A Vedic mantra acharya (Refs: 0102).
  10. A person who charges people money to diagnose their illnesses and diseases by using a crystal pendulum (Ref).
  11. A person who teaches people how to use crystal pendulums (Ref).
  12. A person who charges people money to unblock their chakras (Ref).
  13. A person who teaches people how to “diagnose” blockages in auras (Ref).
  14. A person who claims that body piercing affect acupuncture and meridian points and are harmful on the “cellular level” (Ref).
  15. A post-Sai Baba disciple of Shankaracharya Swami Brahmananda Saraswati (Ref).
  16. A person who claims to have 10,000 devotees / students (Ref).
  17. A person who conducts trance healing “seances” (Ref).
  18. A person who is on the Swedish board for Neal Donald Walsh’s “Humanity Team”. Neal Donald Walsh has written and published many books with his alleged and inspired “conversations with God” (Ref).
  19. A former professional actor in Sweden popularly remembered as the clown “Beppo” (wouldn’t those acting skills come in handy for a convincing portrayal of oneself as a psychic medium?).
  20. A psychotherapist (presenting himself as an authority figure who understands human emotions and thought-processes and thereby may influence and manipulate others into believing his psychic claims).
  21. A person who warns his audience against “charlatans” who charge large sums of money although he typically grosses US $1,400 in admission fees only and charges US $72 (per person) for individual psychic readings and US $58 (per person) for weekend meditation sessions (Ref).
  22. A person who adamantly refuses to submit himself to scientific observation or testing for confirmation of his alleged psychic abilities.

Conny Larsson – ‘Lunatic Fringe’ In The Anti-Sai Movement:

About the Ramayana, Barry Pittard and Robert Priddy wrote:

“Nor can any intelligent person make good or relevant sense of it in the modern world – it is just a fantastic, impossible concocted story of the ‘Superman’ kind – with ‘monkey-man’ Hanuman lifting and flying aloft with a whole mountain (so Rama could pick out a herb from it!) or jumping across the sea to Sri Lanka. Come on, how can one be so backward intellectually? This may be o.k. for ignorant peasants, but the thinking world must regard it as sheer delusion!”

Did you get that Mr. Conny Larsson?

“…it is just a fantastic, impossible concocted story of the ‘Superman’ kind…”

“Come on, how can one be so backward intellectually?”

“This may be o.k. for ignorant peasants, but the thinking world must regard it as sheer delusion!”

The reason why this is so amusing is because Conny Larsson is now claiming he is a psychic medium and trance channeler for the spirit of Vyasa, an immortal guru who shares his chiranjeevin status with Hanuman and Vibhishana (from the Ramayana). Therefore, Barry Pittard and Robert Priddy have bashed and trashed one of their own, Conny Larsson, as being one of those “backward intellectually” “ignorant peasants” who believes in “impossible concocted stories of the ‘Superman’ kind”!

Even worse, Conny Larsson not only believes in these “concocted” stories, he claims that the spirit of Vyasa is speaking through him in psychic trances! If the stories in the Ramayana, Mahabharata and Srimad Bagavatam are “concocted”, what does that make Conny Larsson? It makes him a con-man, a fraud and a spiritual imposter. Thank you Barry Pittard and Robert Priddy!

I just love it when Anti-Sai Activists attempt to malign Sathya Sai Baba and Sai Devotees and end up maligning themselves in the process. Needless to say, not even one Ex-Devotee has said even one word about Conny Larsson’s self-promotion as a guru, yoga instructor, chakras / kundalini instructor, meditation teacher, pet psychic, mantra acharya, psychic healer, trance channeler, medium, Vedic authority, true-believer and disciple of Shankaracharya Swami Brahmananda Saraswati. Amusingly, Robert Priddy has inadvertently dumped Conny Larsson into the same lunatic fringe category that he dumped Sai Devotees, his astrologer son (Kai Nicolai Priddy) and himself into.

If Conny Larsson is a “backward intellectually” “ignorant peasant” who believes in “impossible concocted stories of the ‘Superman’ kind” and part of the “lunatic fringe” seen in religious movements, then why should anyone give credence to his allegations against Sathya Sai Baba?

Yes, this is the type of person that Ex-Devotees typically cite against Sathya Sai Baba. Next, Barry Pittard and Robert Priddy will probably have Conny Larsson channel the spirit of Vyasa so they can obtain a “credible” and “convincing testimony” from him and use it on their Anti-Sai websites as “irrefutable proof” that even the immortal Vyasa had something negative to say about Sathya Sai Baba.

Tal Brooke And His Tall Tales About Sri Sathya Sai Baba

Tal Brooke Avatar Of The Night - The Hidden Side Of Sai Baba Tal Brookes Book - Sai Baba Lord Of The Air

Introduction To ‘Robert Taliaferro Brooke’ – Tal Brooke:
Tal Brooke is the President and Chairman of SCP (the Spiritual Counterfeits Project); a Christian Evangelical organization located in Berkeley, California (read their Statement of Faith). Tal Brooke is the son of American diplomat Edgar Duffield Brooke. He lived part of his childhood in Europe and the Middle East, and in the mid 1960s was enrolled as a student at the University of Virginia from which he graduated. In the 1980s he graduated from Princeton Theological Seminary.

Tal Brooke’s Involvement With The Indian Guru Sri Sathya Sai Baba:
Robert Taliaferro Brooke (an extreme fundamentalist and evangelical Christian) was the first person to make accusations of sexual impropriety against Sathya Sai Baba (a revered Guru living in India). Tal Brooke published his first Anti-Sai book in 1976 under the title “Lord Of The Air”. It was republished in 1979 as “Sai Baba, Lord Of The Air”, renamed “Avatar of Night” in 1982 with a reprint in 1984, was renamed “Lord Of The Air: Tales of a Modern Antichrist” in 1990 and reprinted again as “Avatar of Night” in 1999.

When Tal Brooke was with Sathya Sai Baba, he began to compose a work called The Amazing Advent. However the completed manuscript was never published and according to Howard Levin (author of Good Chances), Tal Brooke took the manuscript to be blessed by Sai Baba and the Guru refused to bless it. According to Tal Brooke (in his book “Avatar Of Night”), he received a “clear command from the Lord to utterly scrap the pro-Baba book, ‘The Amazing Advent’”.

99% of the allegations and rumors circulating against Sathya Sai Baba can be directly traced to Tal Brooke and his religiously-fueled Anti-Sai propaganda, which started in 1976 and continues to the present day through expensive internet ad campaigns on Google soliciting his Anti-Sai book.

Tal Brooke purposely exaggerated when he claimed he was Sai Baba’s number one Western follower (at best, a dubious and subjective claim). Those who met Tal Brooke in the early 70’s at Sai Baba’s ashram immediately recognized him as a fanatic Christian (contrary to his claim that he converted to Christianity post-Sai Baba). Tal Brooke wrote that Sai Baba was a hermaphrodite based on an alleged story related to him by an unidentified person named “Surya Das” who in turn related a story told to him by another unidentified man named “Patrick”. It was alleged that “Patrick” claimed he had coital (vaginal) sex with Sathya Sai Baba. Because of “Patrick’s” alleged story, Tal Brooke perpetuated the idea that Sathya Sai Baba was a hermaphrodite. Tal Brooke also claimed that Sathya Sai Baba told a man named “Wendell” the following about “Patrick”: “False lies. Blind jealous reaction after I tell him to go. Now others believing lies. His word over Swami’s!”

The only problem with all of Tal Brooke’s tall-stories is that none of the alleged witnesses he cited (who have never been identified as real people) have ever come forward in 30+ years to corroborate his stories.

The scholar Lawrence A. Bapp wrote in his book “Redemptive Encounters – Three Modern Studies In The Hindu Tradition” (which was critical of Sathya Sai Baba), “The animus of Brooke’s book (Lord Of The Air 1979) is too strong for one to have much confidence in its accuracy.”

In Tal Brooke’s book “Riders Of The Cosmic Circuit, The Dark Side of Superconsciousness”, he attacked Hinduism, suggested that enlightenment is an evil path and that God-Men and Gurus are in a state of perfect demon-possession. Tal Brooke believes that Sathya Sai Baba embodies a “timeless, demonic presence”.

Since Tal Brooke heavily relied on subjective, fanatic and religiously-based arguments to draw his conclusions that Gurus are in a state of perfect demon possession and that enlightenment is an evil path leading to Satan, what does this say about the integrity and objectivity of his claims against Sathya Sai Baba?

In an interview with John Ankerberg, Tal Brooke acknowledged as true that he had “spirit guides” come to him and that he had “out of body experiences”. Tal Brooke claimed that after he played with a ouija board when he was 11 years old, he felt “spirit presences” in his room and then began to have “out of body experiences”. Tal Brooke also stated that he became involved with “psychic stuff” (i.e., psychic gateways, reincarnation and routes to higher consciousness) during his teen years. These alleged experiences were what drew him to India in 1969. In January 1970, he encountered Sathya Sai Baba. However, Tal Brooke failed to discuss the fact that what really drew him to India was a drug-induced hallucination of being self-realized after taking a massive dose of LSD-25 (ten times the normal dose) when he was an undergraduate at at the University of Virginia.

Tal Brooke said of Sathya Sai Baba:

“Baba’s miracles purportedly mirrored those of Christ and baffled India’s top scientists. He drew vast crowds, and his following numbered over 20 million in India alone. Many of the greatest gurus and New Age teachers around the world went to Sai Baba just for his blessing.”

Tal Brooke stated that the reason he left Sai Baba was because he had a “demonic encounter”. When asked to clarify the alleged “demonic encounter”, Tal Brooke (looking perplexed and hesitant) said he had “out of body experiences” that were “very demonic” (new information that Tal Brooke never discussed in his Anti-Sai books). As a result of his alleged “demonic encounter”, Tal Brooke perceived an immoral side to Sathya Sai Baba that was “unbelievable”.

Not only was Tal Brooke claiming “out of body experiences”, hearing the voices of “spirit guides”, seeing spiritual entities and having “demonic encounters” on the astral realm (whose descriptions matched the classic manifestations of sleep paralysis), he also admitted he experimented with LSD and was involved with a pro-LSD organization (i.e., Neo-American Church) founded by Arthur Kleps (who was a follower of the LSD-Guru Timothy Leary). It is entirely possible that Tal Brooke’s alleged “demonic encounter” was actually either a drug-induced bad trip or a hallucination induced by sleep paralysis (whose symptoms —paralysis, hypnagogic hallucinations, buzzing sounds, being held or weighted down, seeing demons, etc.— he described perfectly). For example, Tal Brooke described one such experience and said:

“Then at 2a.m., I experienced the same semi-paralysis and borderline dream state that inevitably accompanied those rare times when I had apparently astrally projected in years past. Just the effort to get a single digit on the little finger to move would require huge will. In and out of this state any number of times, I let go and tried to drift into sleep. It would start up again: first the utter paralysis as though held down by 10 G-forces, then my mind would begin to hurtle, as a loud siren and jet-engine noise would start up in my head. It was during this prone state that I felt a certain baleful presence in the room. I was momentarily pinned down and unable to move. As I drifted deeper into the ‘buzz region’, as I used to call it, a large rat tore through the room, scampering right up the length of my body. When it hit my head, seemingly carrying an explosive static force, I saw a configuration of blue energy crackle around me, first in an electrical pattern, then materializing into the hideous shape of some demonic aerial creature. I broke out of the paralysis and tried to chase it through the wall, slamming into a thick block of mortar and pelting back on the floor mat.” (Avatar Of Night; pp 277-278, Chapter: “Telegram From The Abyss”)

The Original Kleptonian Neo-American Church was briefly in existence in the late 1960’s (around the time Tal Brooke first encountered Sai Baba). Needless to say, this information puts a new spin on Tal Brooke’s packaged and highly polished writings against the Indian Guru Sri Sathya Sai Baba. As it turns out, Tal Brooke’s alleged experiences with Sathya Sai Baba (and his subsequent defection) revolved around hallucinogenic and psychedelic drugs he was experimenting with at the time and hypnagogic hallucinations induced by sleep paralysis episodes (which were not very well documented in the early 1970s).

Tal Brooke’s Alleged Picture Of Looking Like A Demon
Tal Brooke alleged a picture was taken by a friend of his when he was in the “wilds of Puttaparthi” on his way to a well for a swim. When the picture was taken, Tal Brooke claimed he made a conscious effort to surrender to Sathya Sai Baba. Upon viewing the developed picture with a magnifying glass (and later having the picture enlarged) Tal Brooke was shocked to discover he looked like a demon. Tal Brooke said:

“My face was grossly distorted – monstrous beyond normal limits. One eye, huge, globular, baleful, was four times the normal size. The other eye, a thin Mandarin slit, resembled the eye of death. The composite picture of both eyes resembled an ancient occult enemy staring up from the photograph. But for the horns missing, it was a powerful likeness to the Goat of Mendes, the Satanhead. I felt this was no accident, whatever the cause of it. A deep chill went through me.” (Avatar Of Night; p 281, Chapter: ‘Telegram From The Abyss’)

Needless to say, the alleged demon-picture was not provided in Tal Brooke’s book (although seven other pictures of him during his devotee-phase were). In all seven of Tal Brooke’s devotee-phase pictures, he looked very content, non-demonic and his eyes were definitely proportionate to the rest of his head.

Constance Cumbey Alleges Tal Brooke Is Anti-Semitic
Constance Cumbey, a devout Christian and Michigan lawyer, has openly accused Tal Brooke of being Anti-Semitic and that he plagiarized her writings. Constance Cumbey said:

“For the record: Tal Brooke IS anti-Semitic and aggressively so. This is one reason why I understand Ron Enroth (no angel as I am concerned myself) resigned from SCP. Tal Brooke was aggressively promoting Eustace Mullins’ writings! In my opinion, he did not leave the New Age Movement — he merely joined a different (disinformation) division! You may check with John Loeffler. He was one of the recipients of Tal Brooke’s threats that he would be blackballed in Christian media if he continued to associate with yours truly.” (Reference)

“To the best of my knowledge, although Tal Brooke’s publisher acknowledged it was my work, I had neither a correction nor an apology from Tal Brooke who has never once spoken to me, even though I tried to reach him by phone and told he was available — and then I was told he REFUSED to take the call. SCP is listed in my oldest New Age directories under its original name and present address on Dwight Street in Berkeley, CA as a New Age community ‘where people live together in order to get on with the aims listed under Center’. I too deeply admire Lee Penn’s work — but I’m not sure what Tal Brooke’s angle is in publishing it, but as St. Paul said, ‘For whatever motive they are preaching the gospel, still the gospel is being preached.’ I so very much admire your work and blogspot! Keep up the excellent work.” (Reference)

“Privately, Tal Brooke has been circulating some of the worst of the worst Jew baiting theories and giving his personal endorsement to same. Some have been passed on to me.” (Reference)

Eustace Mullins is the author of the virulently anti-Jewish book “The Biological Jew” (Faith and Service Books, Stauton, VA, 1968). Mullins, in this lengthy comparison of Jews with biological parasites, wrote:

“The Jew has always functioned best as a panderer, a pornographer, a master of prostitution, an enemy of the prevailing sexual standards and prohibitions of the gentile community….

We must remember that there is no Jewish crime per se, since the existence of the Jewish parasite on the host is a crime against nature, because its existence imperils the health and life of the host…

This religious ceremony of drinking the blood of an innocent gentile child is basic to the Jew’s entire concept of his existence as a parasite, living off the blood of the host…

The Jews do not want anyone to know what Nazism is. Nazism is simply this–a proposal that the German people rid themselves of the parasitic Jews. The gentile host dared to protest against the continued presence of the parasite, and attempted to throw it off. It was an ineffectual reaction, because it was emotional and ill-informed…”

Mullins’ writings are a standby on the Klan/neo-Nazi circuit. A recent Sons of Liberty book list included Mullins titles such as “Jewish TV: Sick, Sick, Sick,” ”The Jewish War Against the Christian World,” and ”Easter,” which the catalog tells us give a ”look at the 5,000 years of history in the ongoing war between the Satanic-Jewish forces and their Babylonian religious system and the rest of humanity.” (Sons of Liberty Fall 1992 catalog, New Christian Crusade Church).

In an interview hosted on YouTube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7PlnFT0ksbQ&NR=1 [dead link]), Mr. Mullins once again alleges that ritual human sacrifice is (i) a central tenet of Judaism; and (ii) the singular source of anti-Semitism. It appears in this interview that Mr. Mullins believes that the Rockefeller/Rothschild funded Zionists were responsible for the 9/11 attacks.

The Bombshell Truth About Tal Brooke by Lisa De Witt:

The Bombshell Truth About Tal Brooke and His Connection to the U.S. Information Agency and CIA

Christian fundamentalist Tal Brooke was the first person to make lurid accusations against the famous Indian holy man, Sathya Sai Baba in his book, Lord of the Air. In the first of several revised incarnations Lord of the Air was published under his legal name, Robert Taliaferro Brooke, by Lion Publishing in 1976. The 1990 edition again titled Lord of the Air, then retitled Avatar of Night in 1999, was published by Harvest House Publishers-a Christian owned publishing company. Just two years earlier, in 1988, former CIA Director and then U.S. Vice President, George H. W. Bush chose Harvest House Publishers to print and market his autobiography, Man of Integrity. There was a photo of Bush Sr. with the Harvest House owner, Bob Hawkins Sr. on the company website until this article was published and that page has since been removed. The archived link is posted below in the reference section. You may have to re-enter the link into the archive.org. wayback machine to see the page.

In another twist, Tal Brooke admits to taking LSD and being involved with a group called the Neo-American Church (new members received five peyote buttons and a membership card). The Neo-American Church was a pro-LSD organization founded by Arthur Kleps, a follower of LSD guru Timothy Leary. Kleps was alleged to be anti-semitic, first by the Dutch police who expelled him from the Netherlands and later a church associate who was so disturbed by Klep’s fascist ideology he separated his Colorado-based Neo-American Church from Kleps. This should probably come as no surprise given the name of Klep’s organization.

Tal Brooke, who graduated from the 1963 Class of George Mason High School in Falls Church, Virginia, has also used the alias Tai Brooke. Brooke writes very little about his family in Avatar of Night, other than to say his father was an American diplomat in London and an atheist. In the preface of a book titled Harvest co-written with Chuck Smith, Brooke also wrote, “I grew up in an atheistic home.” In a later interview with Dan Wooding on Brooke’s Spiritual Counterfeits website he revises his father’s belief system to agnostic. In his mother’s obituary on the savannahnow.com website, Tal Brooke’s father’s name is listed as Edgar Duffield Brooke. According to a National Security Files memorandum from the Kennedy Library, Edgar D. Brooke was appointed Director of Media Content for the U.S. Information Agency (USIA) by Edward R. Murrow in 1961. This bombshell evidence, which Tal Brooke has failed to reveal, shows Brooke’s father was in charge of the worldwide distribution of propaganda during one of the U.S.’s most racist periods in history. Famous civil rights leader Martin Luther King Jr. would be assassinated in 1968 and in 1971 it would be revealed there was a COINTEL program to discredit blacks and other worldwide organizations considered to be a threat to the U.S. agenda.

This information regarding Brooke’s father opens the question as to Tal Brooke’s true purpose in going to India in the late sixties. When Tal Brooke left India after two years, he alleges he had just canceled the publication of his pro-Sai Baba book and feared retaliation. Brooke opines in his book (1990 Harvest House edition),“What the enemy might do I had long ago anticipated, was trump up a civil offense charge against me that would be enough to incarcerate me for years.”

In a conversation with an inspector, Brooke further opines, “Listen to me. I came here on a diplomatic passport. Do you think I came here to do anything other than my intended mission of inquiry?” Since a person with a diplomatic passport has diplomatic immunity, Brooke’s fear doesn’t make sense. The only way Brooke could most likely lose his diplomatic immunity is if he had been found to be a spy.

So the question is, why was Brooke traveling under a diplomatic passport and why was Brooke so afraid of being held even though he had a diplomatic passport? What was his intended mission of inquiry? Was he a spy?

This would certainly explain why Prime Minister Vajpayee and two former Chief Justices of the Supreme Court of India have signed a public statement declaring the allegations against Sathya Sai Baba to be concocted and malicious.

Tal Brooke’s Conspiratorial Views And Beliefs:

Brooke has been a controversial figure in his writings that oppose New Age spirituality. Part of his interpretation of New Age is framed around a conspiracy theory. He regards New Age as a Satanic conspiracy through which people are spiritually seduced and they may even be controlled by demons. He also interprets New Age as part of the human impulse for self-worship, and tries to chart those impulses in the context of late Twentieth century western culture. However, his advocacy of a conspiratorial interpretation of New Age differs from the standpoint that was taken by the staff of the Spiritual Counterfeits Project prior to his presidency such as in the SCP Newsletter (January-February 1984) and in the SCP book The New Age Rage (published in 1987).

Brooke’s controversial stance on conspiracy theory formed part of a brief news report by Robert Digitale in Christianity Today magazine in January 1990. Digitale speculated on the apparent shift in perspective at the Spiritual Counterfeits Project under Brooke’s presidency and with changes in the personnel of the ministry’s board of directors.

Other evangelical countercult apologists, such as Elliot Miller (Christian Research Institute) and Douglas Groothuis, have rejected the conspiracy interpretation of New Age as proferred by other apologists such as Dave Hunt and Constance Cumbey. Although Miller’s and Groothuis’ books were published prior to Brooke’s When The World Will Be As One, many of the points Miller and Groothuis cite in objecting to conspiracy theories generally seem to apply to Brooke’s argument.

Even the internet is not immune to Tal Brooke’s paranoia and conspiratorial views. In Brooke’s book Virtual Gods (“Lost in the Garden of Digital Delights”, page 176), he argued that virtual reality on the World Wide Web will inevitably lead to a Godless universe. Brooke described global computer networking as the “Tower of Babel” and believes that the internet fosters an environment of “the worst kind of alienation – from reality and from God”. Brooke believes that by connecting to the internet, people are inspired to hide from “reality” and play God. Despite this amusing and poorly reasoned belief, Tal Brooke, the SCP, numerous Christian organizations and numerous Christian churches are all heavily invested and involved with the internet and their online solicitations pose an interesting contradiction.

Tal Brooke believes that Hollywood is also part of a conspiracy against Jesus Christ because it “vigorously injects Eastern mysticism” into the American culture through television, movies, dvds, etc. (as related in Tal Brooke’s interview with Russell Chandler, Redwood City, Calif., 23 November 1987). Some of the movies and films that Tal Brooke believes are brainwashing the public with demonic, satanic, New Age and Wiccan themes include: Clockwork Orange, Rosemary’s Baby, the Exorcist, Dr. Strangelove, Cocoon, Angel Heart, Harry Potter, Charmed, Sabrina the Teenage Witch (also see “Spellbinding a Culture: The Emergence of Modern Witchcraft”, SCP Journal 24 no. 4 year-2000: 8). Most of the articles that Tal Brooke authors or co-authors have to do with conspiracies against Jesus, conspiracies against the Church, conspiracies against the Bible and the “great lies” of Paganism, the New Age and the Occult.

There seems to be no end to Tal Brooke’s conspiratorial views. Everything non-Christian is taboo and holds the possibility of evil in Tal Brooke’s eyes. Therefore, it is of little surprise why Tal Brooke’s self-aggrandizing accusations (which have never been corroborated in 30+ years) and his smear campaigns against Sathya Sai Baba have had such little effect on Sai Devotees. As a matter of fact, it appears the only people who have gullibly swallowed Brooke’s Anti-Sai pabulum are fellow Christians and bitter Ex-Devotees (who can often be seen bashing Christians and Christianity).

Tal Brooks – Lord Of The Airways:

Tal Brooks – Lord of the Air ways
by Bon Giovanni

Over the years many folks have written me to say, “I read a book by an ex-disciple who tells of his experiences with the Sai Baba. Some of the experiences (of a sexual nature) are shattering my belief system.”

My view is that ‘belief systems’ which are based on secondhand stories deserve to be shattered because they can never support actuality.

Belief systems that do not support reality are most useful when they are outgrown. So, I say to my correspondents, do you want to outgrow yours in due course or do you want to burst it before the chrysalis opens? You see, more than one person has expressed alarm after having read Tal Brook’s opus, “Lord of the Air”, and some have felt ‘oh no, there goes my faith’. One can almost hear the chrysalis pop as doubt grows.

But then, that is after all Tal’s function: to bring doubt up and into view, and to bring it up sooner rather than later.

To aid that burgeoning effect, among Tal’s fans it is now claimed that “all (3000) original copies of his first book were mysteriously destroyed”– as if some Darth Vadar like force had made the books vanish,or as if Tal is now a hero for making that book available, ( and for only $15.00– a mere nine times the cost before the entire first printing mysteriously vanished.) Frankly the claim that Tal was “silenced” is absurd, in that Tal has been talking for a long, long time. Besides, I bought one of those 3000 allegedly destroyed copies in Higgenbottoms Books on MG Road in Bangalore, right out in the open, in 1978, long after the books were supposedly “destroyed.”. I suggest therefore that Tal had not been the “victim” of any dark force other than the green kind: money and envy. By that I mean that when Tal first published LORD OF THE AIR, he made no money on it, drew attention from but few carpers in India, but then a few years later apparently saw the bucks and the attention to be gotten from American fundamentalists. Poof. “All the copies vanished”, but are now available (at much higher cost).

Surely Tal deserves that, because according to Tal he is but an humble evangelist battling against Satan, waging holy war against all those dark forces that want to Silence The Son of God, battling like a simple man against mighty odds, with nary but a quill and a will. [cough]

I note that any humility in that battle, however, has never been Tal’s strong suit, since he intimates in print and on tv over and over, that Tal was THE number one disciple of Sai Baba– or when Tal explains that the HEAD of the Ramakrishna Order was “prepared” to hand him monkhood, presto, just like that. Further, Tal is not surprised at any honour, since he was just soooo “spiritually advanced”, doncha know. (For those unfamiliar with the Ramakrishna Order, Tal’s story is like claiming the Pope saw you in a crowd, came over to you and said, “You, yes You, I know you are not Catholic, but because you are so holy, I am naming You as Cardinal of Rome, now”. Still, if you were like Tal, you would turn it down, as a station not becoming a person so Chosen and Special and Humble as yourself.)

As far as I can tell, Tal’s “humility” is like that; it is paramount to hubris– at any rate, his fundamentalist talkshow appearances as well as his later books evidence why I hold that impression.

But no matter how proud or humble the fellow seems, at least Tal speaks from his own first-hand experience when he relates gossip. That establishes another honour for Tal: it makes him unlike the vast majority of all other online critics, in that Tal went to see Sai Baba for himself, (even though he later altered the experience to fan his fantasy. In his later stories, Tal enhances his 14 months in India into either ‘many years of intense discipleship under Sai Baba’ or as ‘several years of close personal intimacy with Sai Baba’). Nowadays on talk shows Tal almost always “mentions” that he was ‘the number one western disciple of Sai Baba’– a title which is not only bogus, (and is a title which Tal alone gave himself), but which is a status noone else with him in India attended.

In whatever way fourteen months has now become several years, or however whichaway scant interest in his first book somehow becomes ‘satanic forces arrayed against Tal’, his later efforts do show he has since advanced in one area in particular: he has learned the value of using “doubt” as his shill. But then, that is after all Tal’s function: to bring doubt up and into view, and to bring it up sooner rather than later.

Since you have read this far in my webpage, you know I feel doubt is very valuable, and certainly is not to be feared nor ignored. At least, that is true about doubt which arises from one’s own experience. Doubt that rises due to gossip, as Tal’s doubts example, is however just a word-vampire’s delight: it feeds on assumption, not fact, and leads to delusion, not clarity.

Still, over the years I have come across many folks who say, “I read a book by Tal Brooke in which he tells of his experiences with the Sai Baba. Some of the experiences (of a sexual nature) are shattering my belief system.” GOOD! Why? Why because it is good to stop imagining things. For example, some folks imagine Tal tells of his own experiences ‘of a sexual nature with Sai Baba.’ That simply is not in the book. My correspondent, having read Tal’s Press Releases, might then say, “Well, maybe so, but still Tal renounced the Baba and then turned to Christ and only then wrote this book.”

I might then reply: “Do you think so? It looks to me like Tal simply re-wrote his journal, changing specifics here and there for drama, but please, tell me: What is it about Tal that convinces you he has turned to Jesus? As far as I can tell, Tal is using Jesus now in the same way he tried to use Sai then: as a front man. Tal is still promoting Tal; that is what he has ever done. Tal says he was The Number One Western Disciple Of Sathya Sai Baba, yet in fact he was neither numero uno, nor was he a disciple, nor was he chosen to be the Saint Paul of the Sai movement (as he ever strives to paint himself). So, please, just look closely at what Tal tells, and does not tell. For example, do you find him making any mention of Jack Hislop ?”

If, however, you yet enjoy Tal’s doubts, then know there are also three or four other such authors (such as Beyerstein and Premanand — although Tal is unique in believing that Swami does real miracles– because Sai is, according to Tal, The Devil incarnate. The other carpers assert only that Swami is “just a fake out for the cash”.) What matters to me however is not what others “report” second or third-hand, but what I experience.

Does your experience matter to you? If so, then what have men like Brooke or Beyerstein to do with you? Since you have read my webpage, surely you know I will say, “examine *your* heart, examine YOUR experience, experience YOUR doubt. If you go around picking up the doubts of others so eagerly, then when will you ever address your own?”

One devotee read the first few chapters of Tal’s first book, then wrote to me saying, “I am torn and do not know what to think.” My reply is that then it is high time you looked very closely at the basis of your beliefs, is it not? That is the way to avoid any further tears. Why fear? After all, the TRUTH will set you free, you know.

“My faith in Baba was just growing and now I’m very confused.”

Faith that is not based in your own direct experience is not faith at all, it is imagination. Faith however will come when you root out imagination; it will come as a RESULT of your inquiry into the BASIS of your present doubts. So rather than fretting, I suggest this Tal story could be a very good thing for you, if you will undertake genuine sadhana and enquire within. “I’ll bet you never expected to get this kind of letter.” Ok, but please note that perhaps because I am so vocal online, I get letters from truly regal doubters more often than you can imagine. I think folks like to tell me about their secondhand doubts because they know I went through the same thing when I first heard Tal’s tale. (Tal is very good at what he does: sprouting doubts.) In the spiritual realm, like can attract like– you know.

Relax; the truth is greater and more wonderful than any story anyone can spin– and the truth is so far beyond gossip and fiction that doubt itself shudders in fear of seeing itself unmasqued.

Enquire within. Enquiry ends doubt.

But perhaps that sounds too distant or cold. If so, then for another view of the time Tal talks about, consider the first hand report of a fellow present there with Tal, but who saw it a mite differently than Tal did. The book is GOOD CHANCES , and is available from Toronto Bookstore. Still, since you have interest in Tal, you may know he has many more books at his own site , including a newsletter, videos, and cassettes, plus ample sermons.

Whatever you decide, my hope is that the Lord of all beings ever blesses you with His Loving Presence, so that doubt is seen as a conscious tool, not a hidden master.

Alan Kazlev: Crank & Crackpot?

Exposing Martin Alan Kazlev, webmaster for Kheper.net, the biased Anti-Sathya-Sai-Baba sympathizer.

On Wikipedia, a Kazlev fan started a wiki-page for him and the page was suggested for deletion. The majority of editors agreed that the page should be deleted and some referred to Alan Kazlev as a “crank” and “crackpot”.

Click On Thumbnail To Enlarge: Alan Kazlev - A Crank And A Crackpot

The posts read, from three different editors:

Delete – looks like a crank, fails by any reasonable definition of notability.

Delete Crackpots need to cause quite a stir in order to be notable enough for inclusion. I see no stir.

Certainly a crank. Delete as failing WP:RS.

WIKIPEDIA’S DEFINITION:
Wikipedia defines “Crank” as a pejorative term for a person who:

  1. holds some belief which the vast majority of his contemporaries would consider counterfactual
  2. clings to this belief in the face of all counterarguments or evidence presented to him.

The term implies that:

  1. a “cranky” belief is so wildly at variance with some commonly accepted truth as to be ludicrous
  2. arguing with the crank is useless, because he will invariably dismiss all evidence or arguments which contradict his cranky belief

Common synonyms for “crank” include kook and crackpot.

Virtually universal characteristics of cranks include:

  1. Cranks vastly overestimate their own knowledge and ability, and vastly underestimate that of acknowledged experts.
  2. Cranks insist that their alleged discoveries are urgently important.
  3. Cranks rarely if ever acknowledge any error, no matter how trivial.
  4. Cranks love to talk about their own beliefs, often in inappropriate social situations, but they tend to be very, very bad listeners, and often appear to be utterly uninterested in anyone else’s experience or opinions.

Some cranks exhibit a lack of academic achievement, in which case they typically assert that academic training in the subject of their crank belief is not only unnecessary for discovering “the truth”, but actively harmful because they believe it “poisons” the minds by teaching falsehoods. Others greatly exaggerate their personal achievements, and may insist that some alleged achievement in some entirely unrelated area of human endeavor implies that their cranky opinion should be taken seriously.

Some cranks claim vast knowledge of any relevant literature, while others claim that familiarity with previous work is entirely unnecessary; regardless, cranks inevitably reveal that whether or not they believe themselves to be knowledgeable concerning relevant matters of fact, mainstream opinion, or previous work, they are not in fact well-informed concerning the topic of their belief.

IN CONCLUSION
Now read Alan’s scrapped “Disrespectable Me” and “Introduction” page.

Funny enough, Alan’s friends (Robert Priddy and Sanjay Dadlani) also fit the definitions for a “crank” and a “crackpot”.

Umm…enough said.

Alan Kazlev’s Fake Identity?

Exposing Martin Alan Kazlev, webmaster for Kheper.net, the biased Anti-Sathya-Sai-Baba sympathizer.

Although I blogged about this before, I think this subject deserves it’s own article.

We do not know if M.Alan Kazlev is truly being forthcoming about his identity. After all, Kazlev admitted that he changed his name twice, going from “Martin Levin” to “Martin Katz” to “M. Alan Kazlev” (Reference).

Furthermore, Kazlev does not provide his full real name, full address or full phone number on his site. This must mean (using the standards employed against me by Robert Priddy and Anti-Sai Activists) that Kazlev is not who he claims he is and is using a fake identity.

Too bad Kazlev cannot live up to the same standards he defends Anti-Sai Activists for using against me. Anti-Sai Activists have not demanded that Kazlev supply them with the same contact details they demand from me. Therefore, Anti-Sai Activists themselves have made the case that Alan Kazlev is using a fake identity and is not who he claims he is.

See the problem, Kazlev?

Alan Kazlev Was Never Trusted

Exposing Martin Alan Kazlev, webmaster for Kheper.net, the biased Anti-Sathya-Sai-Baba sympathizer.

For the record, I would like to say that I never trusted Alan Kazlev (even when he was being civil to me). As mentioned before, Lisa DeWitt submitted my site-link to Kazlev (which he put on his kheper.net page pertaining to Sathya Sai Baba).

After my very first e-mail correspondence with Kazlev, I clearly perceived a bias and felt he was not to be trusted. I communicated my doubts to Lisa at least a dozen times (perhaps more) and told her I was wasting my time with Kazlev. Nevertheless, Lisa had more faith in Kazlev than I did and encouraged me to keep up my correspondence with him (which I did) because Kazlev stated that he had positive experiences with Sathya Sai Baba, which even included a healing. As a matter of fact, Kazlev told Lisa:

I always had a good vibe from Sai Baba, and i still do, but i distanced myself because of what i heard (and the huge rumour-mill on the internet)…Yeah he once healed me from the astral plane. So i knew he was genuine!

Despite these positive sentiments (in favor of Baba) Kazlev intimated that he also believed the sexual abuse allegations. Since it appeared to Lisa that Kazlev was open-minded, neutral and open to another viewpoint, she encouraged me in my communication with him.

Time and time again, I saw that I was getting nowhere with Kazlev and found his apathy to investigate my version of the facts to be very disturbing. I soon realized that talking to Kazlev was like talking to a brick wall. Kazlev would accuse me of saying something I never said. After confronting Kazlev about his error, he would concede to his error, only later to voice the same error over and over again (especially in reference to Barry Pittard)!

As it turned out, I was right. Kazlev finally conceded (several times) that he had not bothered to read Anti-Sai Sites and that he did not have the “time”, “patience” or “inclination” to research my claims.

Therefore, it came as no surprise to me when Kazlev publicly sided with Anti-Sai Activists. I do not consider this a loss in the least. All I need to do is direct readers to Kazlev’s very amusing “About Me” page and I think I can safely say that rational readers will dismiss his criticisms with a chuckle and a grin.

I know I did.

Ex-Devotee Of Sathya Sai Baba – More Fraudulence Uncovered

Barry Pittard is a cunning and deceitful individual (with proof) who has become so desperate in his smear-campaigns against Sathya Sai Baba that he is now purposely and maliciously associating news that has nothing to do with Sathya Sai Baba with him.

Just recently, Barry Pittard wrote an article on his Anti-Sai conspiracy blog that said:

Judge warned: Crippling disease won’t stop pervert

Some devotees of Sathya Sai Baba – the ’God’ worshipped by so many of India’s top power brokers (and others beyond) who faces worldwide accusations of large-scale, serial sexual molestation of boys and young men – claim that he could not possibly offend, if he ever did, because of his age and physical incapacity, and that therefore his current accusers are caught in a palpable deceit. L. An Ironside Sai Baba – not one to easily push around. R. Ageing rapist Wayne Chapman still Dangerous. (Boston Herald Photo Pool)They offer no evidence concerning the nature of sexual capacity and ageing. Yet there is a mass of readings on the topic ‘ageing and sex’ in the popular press, let alone a wealth of information from Gerontology and Geriatrics. As ever, the Internet is an abundant source. But why go looking for facts when there is a guru to defend at all costs? And the word ‘costs’ is more than appropriate, since Sai Baba’s worldwide cult has to defend many billions of dollars of investment in its notion that Sai Baba is about to rule the earth. Any dear reader who happens to be a billionaire, watch your money – Sai Baba is a consumate master in extracting it from you – without seeming to want it. See my article: Sai Baba, Kubla Khan, Citizen Kane, Bill Gates et aliaOf course, making Champion of the World may require Sai Baba to take a little more than Viagra or Cialis.Extract from: Judge warned: Crippling disease won‘t stop pervert
By Laurel J. Sweet
Boston Herald. Friday, March 23, 2007
‘Aging and Sick Sex Offender to Be Civilly Committed?Whatever the wisdom of civil commitment laws it would seem that this fellow might qualify. Increasingly, though, the states are going to have to contend with the high cost of health care in keeping aging and sick convicts behind bars.Even though his aging, bloated body is confined to a wheelchair, a judge was warned yesterday a 59-year-old convicted sexual predator remains dangerous to children. A forensic psychologist assured Lawrence Superior Court Judge Howard J. Whitehead that convicted child rapist Wayne Chapman, who bragged he had sexually molested between 50 and 100 boys and even fantasized about killing some of them, “presents a high and unacceptable risk to re-offend.” “It just doesn’t go away,” Christine Schnyder Pierce testified. Chapman, an interstate predator, has been incarcerated for 31 years. Having served his time, he is hoping to retire in Massachusetts, but the Essex District Attorney’s Office is fighting to have Whitehead civilly commit him for life as a “sexually dangerous” person’.”

Barry Pittard also posted a blurb on digg.com that said:

Judge warned: Crippling disease won’t stop pervert
Some Sai Baba protagonists claim that he could not possibly sex offend, if he ever did, because of his age and physical incapacity, and that therefore his current accusers are caught in a palpable deceit. Instead of attempting to belittle testimony, they need to look at what Gerontology and Geriatrics have to opine on the topic.”

The only person “caught in palpable deceit” is Barry Pittard, who purposely and maliciously attempted to deceive the general public by making it seem as if a Judge was warned that Sathya Sai Baba was a pervert who had a crippling disease. As a matter of fact, a woman named “Miriam Dunn” (aka “Miridunn”) commented on Barry’s digg.com post and was under the impression that the warning pertained to Sathya Sai Baba. Miriam Dunn said:

“Until he is DEAD he poses a threat. Keep him locked up forever.”

It is exactly articles like these that prove that Barry Pittard is an Anti-Sai extremist and fanatic who must rely on deception, misrepresentation, subterfuge and fraudulence to make his case against Sathya Sai Baba because the truth does not argue in his favor. The article in question was not related (directly, indirectly or otherwise) to Sathya Sai Baba whatsoever.

First of all, Sathya Sai Baba has never (ever) been convicted or charged with any crime, sexual or otherwise. Period. Secondly, there is not even one public grievance, police complaint, court case or affidavit that has ever been filed against Sai Baba for pedophilia or child molestation and no critic can provide a scintilla of verifiable evidence to the contrary.

Barry Pittard also claimed that he and other ex-devotees do not slur. Despite this patently absurd claim, Barry Pittard slurred and said of Sai Baba: “Of course, making Champion of the World may require Sai Baba to take a little more than Viagra or Cialis”. For those who do not know, Viagra and Cialis are male-impotence medications that work by enhancing the effects of one of the chemicals the body normally released into the penis during sexual arousal. This increases blood flow into the penis and an erection is the result. That’s right, Barry Pittard (the oh-so-dharmic, non-slurring ex-devotee) is insinuating that Sathya Sai Baba is taking Viagra and Cialis without proof.

Ironically, Barry Pittard (while a devotee of Sai Baba) fathered a son out of wedlock with a 21 year old woman when he was 58 (and old enough to be her Grand-Father). Barry Pittard also performed questionable “kundalini healings” on women when he was a Sai Devotee. Is it of any wonder that Barry Pittard was kicked out of Sathya Sai Baba’s ashram (by his own admission)?

Barry Pittard also attempted to warn people about giving money to Sathya Sai Baba. The Sathya Sai Organization happens to be one of the largest recipients of foreign donations in India. Barry Pittard already made it clear why he is attempting to influence people not give money to Sathya Sai Baba’s charitable organizations. On March 30th 2003, Barry Pittard said:

“I am trusting that one of the effects of our constant Exposure on many levels will be to get into all sorts of nooks and crannies that we cannot even be aware of, and taht this will, for example, increasingly bite into the huge financial contributions, with those who have been donors suddently disappearing from the Sai Trust/Sai Org. arena, along with their disbrusements. Perhaps it is too early-days for this to be happening but, given the enormous extent of our intensive actions, both individual and organised, in the last three years, it must be getting a lot closer. It is what we need to bring about, so that the Sai Empire begins to crumble from many points within its edifice.” (Reference)

On every front, Barry Pittard and Anti-Sai Activists are waging a lonely and losing battle against Sathya Sai Baba. Even after many years of unremitting smear and hate campaigns, vicious defamations, libels, gutter untruths, subterfuge and outright deceit (posted on hundreds of Anti-Sai webpages), Sathya Sai Baba’s charitable Organization is still one of the largest recipients of foreign donations in India. Sathya Sai Baba remains a very popular and well respected Guru who commands great respect and devotion from India’s intellectual elite, including Presidents and Prime Ministers (as well as millions around the globe).

This is not the first time that Barry Pittard has attempted to con the general public with his fraudulent articles. For example, read my previous article about Barry Pittard’s Free-Press-Release About Tim Sullivan. The more Barry Pittard says, the less I have to defend. Barry Pittard compromises his own integrity with every stroke of his poisoned pen. Barry Pittard has lost all crediblity and it is about time everyone can see and verify it for him/her self.
